In the maxcap project, a baseload-optimized wind turbine for demand-oriented energy production is being developed and constructed.

The aim of the project is to construct, in addition to the further development of existing drivetrain technologies, an overall system of a wind turbine for previously non-economic locations (low wind speed sites) while reducing the volatility of the power output (to develop a better base load capability) and maximize the capacity factor.
